Cork band The Shaker Hymn’s new EP 'The Shape of the Sea' (released on April 10th) is a follow up to their critically acclaimed 2016 album 'Do You Think You're Clever'. Musically, the new EP shows a softer side of the band, with inspiration from singer Caoilian Sherlock and Robbie Barron's favorite artists including John Prine, Steve Gunn, The Lost Brothers and Joan Shelley. The result is a beautiful, melodic alt-folk collection of songs
We're delighted to welcome two amazing Cork bands, The Shaker Hymn and Saint Caoilian to Tremolo. Both have an amazing catalogue of songs and we're looking forward to new material later this year!
We're very excited to welcome Bear Worship to the Tremolo family! A stunning debut, WAS is a beautiful combination of synthesizer, guitar, arpeggios and harmonies all complemented by Bear Worship's distinctive vocals. Check out the new album now!
We are very excited to welcome Dioscó na mbó to Tremolo! A warm blend of synths, pop and dance beats, their music has been described as “undeniably danceable” and we can't agree more! Give a listen to the summer inspired vibes on their track "Vanua", the playful and infectious “Nobody’s Ghost” and the bright, pop beats on “We Can Run”. Perfect music to soundtrack your good time!
Naoise Roo is one of 16 acts being profiled by The Thin Air in their '16 for 16' installment. The focus is on Irish acts that The Thin Air is convinced will do 'great things' this year. We can't agree more! Read Naoise's installment here. @NaoiseRoo @the_thin_air
James Darkin has a busy 2016 ahead! He's currently in the final stages of mixing the second Funeral Suits album, due later this year on Rubyworks Records. James is also in the studio producing and mixing the Propeller Palms new album also due in 2016. Looking forward to hearing both of these!
Tremolo is proud to have recently placed the track "We're In" by composer James Darkin in the independent Irish documentary 'The Queen of Ireland'. The film follows Panti’s journey from her small hometown in the West of Ireland through striding the world-stage and being instrumental in the recent success of the marriage equality referendum in Ireland. Congrats to James on being part of such an amazing and inspiring project!
